Animals hunted can be brought back and dressed for consumption during the retreat or for you to take home. If you do not wish to take meat home we will give it to the property owner to feed to their dogs, or to other families in need. Please note, meat unfortunately can not be taken outside of Australia.
We highly recommend prior to coming you have the proper bow set up and are comfortable shooting your bow at 20 yards. However, if you do not have a set up we do have a limited number of bows available for an additional rental fee. Those of you who will be learning to shoot your bow at the retreat please take note that it will be at the guides discretion if you will be allowed to hunt or not. We may guide you through the process and stalk in on animals but at the respect for the animal will not let you take a shot at the animal if we believe you are not ready. Those who rent gear will have an option to purchase a set-up and we can post to your home or workplace.
Upon booking we ask for a 50% deposit to be placed to secure your spot. 3 Weeks prior to your trip date we request the remainder balance to be paid.
Those of you who are visiting from out of country will need a valid passport as well as a holiday visa, which can be applied for easily on the ETA Australia app, or follow the link below.
We recommend Emrits or Qantas when flying to Australia. Qantas ofter has round trip deals from LAX priced around 1,100US. You will be flying into the SYD airport.
No tags, or license is required on this hunt.
Unfortunately you can not bring meat back home with you. Those of you who would like to bring a trophy back, we can help arrange that.
You will need a moderate fitness level. Average 15,000-25,000 steps per day over mountainous terrain carrying bow and backpack. We ask that you rate your fitness level 1-5 so we can match you with others of a similar fitness level.
You can expect to be woken up approx 5:30am. If you are not an early riser we suggest setting your alarm early for a week before your retreat to get into the habit of an early start. We aim to be in bed each night no later than 9:30pm to allow for a good night sleep so you are fresh each morning. This will depend on the seasons of course, but we will always prioritize a healthy amount of sleep to help you keep up with the days.
We ask for a none refundable deposit to be placed at the time of booking your trip. This is non refundable, however we will do our best to accommodate any emergency circumstances. Prior to your full payment being made (4 weeks prior to your trip) we may be able to reschedule you to another trip. This is not guaranteed but as openings allow we will do our best.
We ask that you please do not consume alcohol during the retreat as we need your mind to be clear and sharp and your body fit for target practice and hunting. We want you to be in complete control of your mind, body and breath, fuelling your body with nutritious foods. Take advantage of this detox from alcohol, social media, processed foods and the stresses of life!
